Since the Ford factories were founded in Berlin on 18 August 1925, Ford has produced over 40 million vehicles in Germany and Belgium. Cologne has been the headquarters of the company since 1930 and since 1998 also the headquarters of the Ford Europe administration, which serves 51 markets from here. Ford-Werke AG has been operating as Ford-Werke GmbH since 2004. In 2013 the turnover was 17.348 billion Euros; in 2012 it was around 16.6 billion euros. According to the calculations of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham, Berlin), with a turnover of 17.348 billion euros Ford-Werke GmbH is the German company with the highest turnover in this country with an American parent company.
As an OEM, Ford is already active in many research projects. In the FOresIght network, however, the focus is on cooperation and open exchange among the network partners. Together with Ford R&A and Ford Product Development, we can participate in various R&D projects and discuss the ideas of Tier 1-3.”
