Companies in discussions with banks: Sustainability criteria for lending

On 28 August, the Rheinisch-Bergische Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft mbH and Wirtschaftsförderung Oberbergischer Kreis will be hosting a free online event on the sustainable transformation of the German economy from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. as part of the ‘Sustainability Report at a Glance’ format series. The focus will be on topics such as sustainability reporting, ESG reporting and the CSRD reporting obligation, which are increasingly playing a role in discussions with banks. Stefan Huesmann, Corporate Client Director at Kreissparkasse Köln, will explain how the ESG score works at Kreissparkasse, which criteria are taken into account and what impact this has on lending. In addition, the Kreissparkasse's offers for transformation financing and its own sustainability initiatives will be presented.
